The Week that was in Revit Add-ons for April 16-22, 2018

The week of April 16, 2018 was a moderately busy one here on Revit Add-ons with 19 posts published.

From the Autodesk App Store, we posted about Automatically Offset in Ceiling_2017 for automatically placing floating elements on ceilings, the self-explanatory Extract Family Names from Folder_2018NavVis IndoorViewer Add-In for Autodesk® Revit® for integrating BIM models with NavVis reality capture technology, and the free Sketchfab for publishing Revit models directly to Sketchfab, the free online platform for 3D models.

From around the Internet, we posted for the first time about the free/pay what you want open source Online Revit To IFC ConverterCloud Services for Keynote Manager for keynote sharing across networks and locations, Infraworks to Revit Interoperability Add-in from Autodesk for showing InfraWorks property values in Revit, and Project Virga, which uses machine learning and A.I. to create parametric system families from your previous projects.

There was big news in the world of Dynamo with the release of Dynamo v2.0, which features a new file format (JSON rather than XML) and the ability to coexist with previously installed versions. It's just too bad Autodesk didn't coordinate this release with the release of Revit 2019 just five days earlier...
